With the fee paid by a 50-pfennig Hindenburg Medallion stamp, 33-year-old Jewish woman Margot Sara Joseph obtained her postal identity card at Cologne, Germany, on April 3, 1939, probably to identify herself when she mailed letters and cards to foreign countries.
