In Memoriam
"This monument bears testimony to the unparalleled horrors
committed by the fiendish Nazis
and their cohorts during the years 1939 to 1945 in
destroying one thousand
and eight hundred sainted martyrs of our hometown Kolbuszowa
who were
destroyed, murdered, slaughtered, drowned, burned and buried
alive.
The God of the spirits of all flesh will remember
their souls.
May the God of compassion, the father of the orphan, the
judge of the widow, give sweet repose beneath his divine
wings to the souls of our fathers, mothers, brothers,
sisters, and relatives.
May their righteousness stand before G-d in eternal life .
Through their merit may the homeless of Israel return to
their promised land. Amen." |
Hebrew:
"This monument is witness to the terrifying destruction
the handiwork of the wildly wicked
and the satanic brutality
of the Nazis and those who
helped them."
A version of the tradition memorial prayer "El Molay
Rachamim":
"O G-d, full of compassion, grant perfect rest--
to all members of their families who were martyred."
"May the dispersed of Israel be returned to their borders." |
