Yagustower Progressive Association (Workmen's Circle Branch No. 77)
Augustow, Poland

The word "Yagustower" refers to a community known as Augustow which is located near the border of Poland, Lithuania and Russia. At turn of the twentieth century, Augustow was in Suwalki province.

This first of two pages Workmen's Circle organization Annual Calendar was printed for the Yagustower Branch #77. It has three months on a quarterly year -- July, August and September of 1919. It indicates a photograph of twenty-two men with walking canes.  In the left background on a sloped lawn are two figures - a woman, apparently in nurse's uniform, and a seated man appearing to be "reviewing" the procession.

The society was first organized on August 4, 1904.
