PIROSKA AND BELA FLEISCHNER
Gyor, Hungary

Piroska and Bela Fleischner died in Gyor in 1944.  In Gyor he was beaten to
death by the Nyilas next to the great Temple in the center of that city.

 In this photograph they are very young, newly married, before they had their nine children.

The entire Fleischner family is shown above, except for the eldest Imre,
who had already left to study at the university in Italy.
 

As stated previously, Piroska and Bela died in Gyor. 
Laci and Guszti died in concentration camps. 
Andras and Pista survived "munkaszolgalat", Jewish slave labor in Russia. 
Zsuzsa and Judit survived Auschwitz. 
Gyuri survived, hidden in Gyor with his daughter.
 Imre fled Europe with his family to Asia.
Katalin fled to Turkey with her family.
