MARIA NOURI GABAI
Istanbul (then Constantinopole), Turkey
1899
 

The Gabai family was Sephardim and Nouri was the youngest of the six children of Sabetai Gabai and his wife Rachel (nee Arditti from Salonica). She was born in 1895. The Gabais emigrated to Munich in 1900 and in 1925 to Merano in northern Italy. There she met and married the Maurice (Maurycy) Honig.
