Berko and Iosya Redler originated in Novo Podolsk, Kherson
Gubernia and moved to Odessa. They had at least three
children, Tobei,
Shrul (who died in China and whose son Reuven went to
Israel) and Elia, who settled in St. Paul, Minnesota.
