GITEL ROZENBERG

Photo, left: Florence, surname unknown and cousin Gitel Rozenberg (seated in chair), cir 1920

Photo, right: Gitel Rozenberg, sister of Devorah and the younger daughter of Yankel and Bubbie Rozenberg.
The inscription from back of photo reads "I am giving (you) my portrait in eternal memory," i.e. so you will never forget me--Radom-14 Apr 1919. This photograph was forwarded afterwards with the following message: "I wish the children an enjoyable trip and that they shall be healthy and strong, and for my brother-in-law to experience the feeling of pride that his mother did not live long enough to enjoy. Let my brother-in-law and sister stand proud and I send many wishes that they grow up joyfully and live long enough to enjoy many proud occasions.--from me your sister Gitel Bakenstein," Radom, 26 Jun 1920.
