PESHER MALKAN
(nee Mintz)
mid 1800s

Pesher was the mother of Calko Srul Malkan, who was born in Wizna in 1846. He lived between Grajewo, Poland and Sundsvaal and Sabra, Sweden. He applied for citizenship in Sweden in 1881 and did not receive it. He worked as both a peddler and a seller of animal hides. He would eventually marry Ida Leah Dennemark.

See more Malkan family photos that were taken in Grajewo.
