Death and Remembrance The Cemetery Visit Boruch Meir Perlo at the Lomza Cemetery Boruch Meir and his wife Rywka Bomchel Perlo were born and lived in Lomza until they both emigrated. They had three children--Juan (Fiszel), Dora, and David. In 1925, Juan immigrated to Mexico, though he later decided to emigrate and live in the United States. In 1935, their children David and Rywka also tried to immigrate to the United States, but they could not get in and subsequently went to Mexico. As Boruch Meir and son Juan were already in United States, Rywka joined them while David stayed and made his life in Mexico. In 1939, Rywka went back to Lomza to try to persuade her daughter Dora, who was already married and had two daughters, to come to America but she was not successful. Dora and her entire family were murdered in Treblinka. Rywka went back to the United States, where she died in 1947 in Los Angeles. Boruch Meir died in Los Angeles in 1949.
