Aniela
(Chana Kompaneyets-Poliakov)

 

A. was born in 1894 in Balta, Crimea.

Her parents were the Yiddish actors Leah and A. G. Kompaneyets.

She completed a government gymnasium in Warsaw.

As a child she began to act in her father's troupe, and as such remained on the stage, since 1915 taking on a dramatic repertoire.

Since 1928 she always has acted in the troupes under the direction of her father, and during the 1928-9 season [acted] in the Warsaw Kaminska Theatre (under the direction of Vinder and M. Fenigstein).

In 1929-30 she acted in Paris under her father's direction.
