Mira Ashkenazy

 

A. was born on November 16, 1898 in Kremenchug, Ukraine.

Her father was a trade employee.

She completed a middle school in Kremenchug, afterwards studying various courses at the medical school at Kharkov University.

Her theatrical education came in a private ballet school in Kharkov and in the state theatre ballet school in Moscow, when she participated in 1920-21 in the productions, which were staged by the dramatic studio of the ballet.

Since 1921 she performed in Mi"mt, and also participated in the film "Idishe glikn", directed by A. Granovsky.
