A. was born in Iasi or Roman, Rumania.

After becoming known to Abraham Axelrad, she performed with him in his troupe, where after a short time she became the prima donna.

Due to Axelrad's illness Rukhl, who had married him, was the leader in fact of the troupe in which she performed in the main roles of the operetta repertoire.

A. had for years acted in Czernowitz, where she had participated from time to time in professional or semi-professional productions of the old operetta repertoire.
