Joseph M. Grossman

 

G. was born in 1903 in New York, America. His parents were Yiddish actors.

He learned in high school. As  a child he performed in Libin's sketch "Der motorman" and as an adult he acted in lover roles. Then he left the stage and became a manager in his parents' troupe, then spent four years in San Francisco.

In 1923 g. returned to the stage and had the opportunity in Cleveland to act together with Thomashefsky, Blank and Clara Young.

In 1926 G. became in Cleveland again the manager of the troupe. Then he became engaged by Schwartz as manager of his Yiddish Art Theatre.
