Miriam Lerer
 

 

L. was born in Ludmir, Volin.

Her father was a colonist, who soon went off to Argentina.

L. began to act in 1921 in Buenos Aires under the direction of Marienhof and Glazunov, debuting as "Yehudit" in "Uriel Acosta". From then L. acted in various troupes, also with Lobel and Boris Auerbach, then a season under the leadership of Thomashefsky, and a season under the leadership of Sokolov.

In 1924 L. acted under the direction of Mark Arnstein and went on a tour across the Yiddish colonies of Argentina.

In 1926 she was in the Folks Theatre under the direction of Zaslavsky. In the same year she married Jacob Botashansky. Then she acted in other troupes, having the opportunity to act with Maurice Schwartz's troupes, especially in Europe.
