Eliahu Margolius


According to Zalmen Reyzen, M. in the years of 1886 to 1899 was an assistant editor for the Bucharest "Hivets"[?], afterwards editor of  "Dos folksblat" in Iasi.

In the trn'd--trn'd years, he issued the "Israelite folks-kalender" and wrote an entire folk song for the theatre repertory of the actors Bleichman, Simovitsh, Groper, Kaner et al.

M. composed a theatre piece "Ktsieh" trukene feygn, which was performed in the vaudeville houses. He also created a booklet in Hebrew called "Hrma'm vhmteym", and in Yiddish with Hebrew "Msha binyamin", a booklet about art pieces, [nbvah adg].

As an adult, M. immigrated to America, where he was accepted by the "wonder show"(?), read characters and found ideas [adg].
