S. was born on 25 January 1906 in Iasi, Rumania.

Her parents were the actors Maurice and Rosa Ziegler.

She completed an eight-class folks school in Vienna and learned privately with Jacob Mestel.

In 1920 for the first time she performed in her parents' troupe in the chorus in Czernowitz.

Three months later she debuted as "Itzhak" in Goldfaden's "The Sacrifice of Isaac".

After two years in the chorus, she had the opportunity to act in episodic roles; she went over to acting in larger roles, debuting as "Tsipke feyer".

Since then S. has continued as the chief soubrette in the Ziegler troupe, in which she has acted until today, together with her husband, M. Pastor.
