1931-1969
 

G.V. Tombak

T. was born in 1907 in Zhitomir, Volin.

His father was an employee.

From childhood on he had aspired to the stage. He debuted in 1923 as "Student" in Sh. An-ski's "Der zayde" in the Zhitomir Yiddish Worker's Club.

Learning in the chemist's technicum, T. at the same time directed with the dramatic circle in the club of the [kustarn] and in the club of the Methodist known as Tomski.

Following bankruptcy in 1926 he was taken into the Yiddish State Theatre of the Ukraine, where he acts until today.
