Boris Weiner
 

 

W. was born on 17 August 1895 in Piotrkow, Minsk Gubernia, White Russia (Belarus). 

His father was a timber merchant. 

W. received a Jewish national upbringing as well as a general education. 

He began to be interested in music at the age of thirteen. Later he participated in orchestras as well as appearing as a soloist at concerts.

Weiner arrived in America in 1914 where he joined a dramatic club and later travelled and performed in the province.

When Ben-Ami  opened the Garden Theatre, W. was accepted for episodic roles. After a year, Weiner joined the Yiddish Art Theatre where he played episodic roles for a number of years.
