1931-1969
 

     Rachel Weissberg
 

Born on 23 of February 1901 in Sadagora, Bukovina.

Her father was a business man.

She finished her learning in Novoselitz in an elementary school, and after arriving in 1913 with the family in Vienna, finished there in a public and commercial school.

She participated in amateur productions of the "Zion" union, attending dramatic courses with the union of the "Freye yidishe folks-bine" theatre, and when they founded the "Free Yiddish public stage", W. enters this theatre and also participates with them as they tour throughout Rumania.

In 1922 W. played a season in mixed repertoire in the Hotel Stephanie in Vienna.

During the 1925-1926 season, "Shund" repertoire in the "Yiddish Artists Cabaret" (manager Max Streng), and in 1927 in the "Yiddish Artists Plays" managed by Shulem Brin.
