Benjamin Zuskin

 

Z. was born on 28 June 1899 in Ponieviezh, Lithuania.

His father was a tailor.

He completed a real school and studied at the Moscow Barg Academy. From his early youth he was interested in Yiddish theatre. In 1921 he entered into the studio of Moscow's State Jewish Theatre and debuted there on 24 September 1921.

When the studio became transformed into the Moscow State Jewish Theatre, Z. went over automatically with the other personnel to the theatre and also participated on tour with the troupe when they traveled across Western Europe.

Z. is a member of the management and is the secretary of the troupe.
