THE Yiddish THEATRE
aS DESCRIBED IN zALMEN zYLBERCWEIG'S "lEKSIKON FUN YIDISHN TEATER"
My Father Maurice Schwartz
According to B. Gorin in
1903, this was traced to the the play, "Solomon Koos".
This is probably about Jacob
Gordin's play "Solomon the Wise", which after about
1899-1900 was performed in New York through Jacob P.
The mix-up of the name from
the play and author and was probably done due to it,
which was the play the its true name, as property? of
Jacob P. Adler, not a disguised ( or masked) play.
