Anabella is an alumnus of
the Bucharest School of Acting.
Upon immigrating to Israel,
she joined the Yiddish theatre in Israel. She played the
role Leah in "The Dybbuk", the one time it was performed
in Yiddish in Israel. She also performed on a regular
basis in Dzigan's troupe, appearing in all of his
productions in Israel.
Anabella has performed in
many television shows and on film. She represented
Israel in the International Film Festival in Salonika in
2000, as the lead actress in the film, "Life, oh Life."
In 1967, she was a candidate
for the Harp of David Prize.
Anabella has been performing
for Yiddishpiel since 1992, and she has appeared in most
of its productions. She is the Edith and Israel Pollack
Prize Laureate for 1999.
She appeared in the play
"The Comics," a joint production of Yiddishpiel and
Habima, and in the films "Colombian Love" and "Gai Oni"
(Valley of Strength).
