Judith Abarbanel

Judith Abarbanel was an American-born actress who starred in many Yiddish theatre productions from the late 1920s until her retirement in 1942. She also participated in a number of Yiddish-language films.

Between 1937 and 1940, Judith also starred in Yiddish films, such as "Uncle Moses," with Maurice Schwartz; "The Cantor's Son," with Moishe Oysher and Florence Weiss, and "American Matchmaker" with Leo Fuchs.

She was an integral part of the troupe for Maurice Schwartz's "Yiddish Art Theatre," and she graced the planks of this theatre for at least fourteen years.
