Listed in the table below are the
unique surnames found within the single extant Bedzin-Warszawa society burial plot located in the New York metropolitan
area. Please also the very large
Warszawa unique surnames list. Please note that the Bedzin-Warszawa
society is the third owner of this society plot at Mt. Hebron Cemetery
in Flushing, New York. The first was the Leon Sanders Lodge who had
bought this plot in 1913. The second owner (whose name is on the metal
gate and most likely whose members and officers' names are inscribed on
the gate posts) was Abraham I. Levy Sick and Benevolent Association.
They took over the plot in 1944, and then in 1949 the Bendiner-Warshauer
Benevolent Society took it over. So these surnames represent an
amalgamation of all three societies' members, though most seem to be
associated with the two most current owners. |
