The Cemetery
Project
|
|
|
Shown below and
on two other pages are
thumbnail photos of more than one hundred cemetery maps from forty-four of the cemeteries that dot the New York, New Jersey,
Pennsylvania, Maryland, South Florida,
Los Angeles, Chicago, Cleveland, as well as Toronto, Winnipeg and Montreal (Canada)
landscapes. Left-click on an individual thumbnail with your mouse and
a larger version of the map will appear. Depending on your computer,
you may be able to view an even larger version that will be much
easier to read. By passing your mouse across the bottom of the image,
a gold and red rectangle with blue arrows (called the "enlarge to
regular size" icon) will appear in a few seconds. This icon is most
often located at the bottom right corner of the map area. By clicking
on that icon, you will get an even larger image that will enable you
to see the letters, words and society plot names with greater
magnification and clarity. Also, from the icons that will appear upon
the placement of the mouse arrow in the upper left corner of
the image, you will have the opportunity to save, copy or e-mail any
of the map images.
If you have a cemetery map that is not
included here and think that it should be included on this page,
please send it, along with the cemetery name and location, to
postmaster@museumoffamilyhistory.com.
I hope that the availability of these maps
online will better prepare you for your next visit to the cemetery and
encourage you to do so. To find the location of an individual society
plot in New York or New Jersey, please go to
www.jgsny.org/searchcity.htm.
