BOLOGNA,  ITALY

"...at 'civico no. 16' on this way (street) stood the synagogue of the ghetto. In 1593 the Jews were expelled and with them the "retaggio" of the rabbis Samuel Archivolti, Azaria of Rossi, Yaakov Mantino, Obadia Sforno. The racial laws of 1938 created a new ghetto from which, despite the solidarity of the city, eighty-three Jews, with others from far away, were deported..."

 

PADUA, ITALY

"...1939-1945....six million of the Jews of Europe, eight thousand Jews of Italy, forty-six Jews from Padova, unheard of persecution was drawn to the martyrdom...the memory of such a Holocaust....you will recall the men and the people...."

 

RAVENNA, ITALY

"The province of Ravenna....(honors) the fifty who were (part of) the Resistance and liberation, in memory of the Jews..."

 

VERONA, ITALY

"To the unarmed victims, part of the ...deportation day in small Verona, a holocaust in which six million of the Jews ...of the Nazi barbarisms to ....for the past Jewish community of Verona that this stone is dedicated to."
The memorial is located on a wall of Verona's synagogue.
