1931-1969
 

Meir Zakozhanski

Born on 27 March 1886 in Rasne (Ryasna), Mohilev region, Ukraine.

His father was a lumber merchant.

Z. began acting in Zurich, Switzerland, in their dramatic circle and afterwards became the director of an itinerant Yiddish troupe in Zurich and Frankfurt-am-Maim.

In 1928-29 he acted in comedy and operetta theatre in Riga (led by Sh. Kutner).
