Sheina Gitel and Two of Her Sons

My maternal great-grandmother was Sheina Gitel Burak (nee Dreyarska). Here she is pictured with two of her sons, Charles and Sam. Perhaps this photo was taken before the two boys immigrated, one through Cuba the other through Canada, in the 1920s. These were two of her five sons. One son, Zalmen, presumably did not immigrate, nor did their mother, nor their father, who perhaps had already passed away before this photograph was taken.

I'm told that Sheina Gitel's parents rejected her after she married her husband, Aaron, as her family was more well-to-do, and Aaron was a blacksmith!

The family lived in Jedwabne, Poland, which is located within the Lomza region in Northeastern Poland.
