Throughout history
Jewish men and women have served proudly in their country's military.
Sometimes their service was accepted begrudgingly; sometimes they were
singled out for pejorative treatment, e.g. in the Russian Pale of
Settlement, even though they were quite willing to do their part as
responsible citizens.
Since those times
of hardship, Jews have taken their place among the hall of heroes of the
many branches of the military throughout the world.
Jews wore
many uniforms. As the borders of countries changed from time to time, so
did their uniforms...
