THERESIA AND ALEXANDER WOHLSTEIN

Theresia (Tersa) Blau daughter of Philip and Netty (nee Wacht) Blau was born 1887 in Nové Mesto nad Váhom. She married Alexander Wohlstein and gave birth to children Jenko and Hilda. Theresia perished in the Majdanek concentration camp in 1943.

Alexander Wohlstein was born in Nové Mesto nad Váhom. He was a merchant, and he too perished in 1941 in the Shoah, at the age of fifty-three. Hilda (nee Wohlstein) Gmeiner perished in 1943 in Poland. Jenko survived and immigrated to Israel, where he lived the remainder of his life.
