The USCIEN family

CHAJA USCIEN

Mother to Rose Uscien

Ostrow Mazowiecka, Poland

1919

This is a passport photo of Chaja, the mother or Sora Ruchla (Rose) Uscien, who married Harry Levine. Daughter Eva (Chawa) was born in Ostrow and immigrated with mother Rose via Ellis Island in 1921. Harry was a cobbler and had a store on Central Avenue in Brooklyn, near where his son-in-law Irving Bibicoff had his glass store.

ISSER USCIEN AND HIS TWO DAUGHTERS

Isser Uscien, who worked as a tailor, was one of Chaja's sons and one of Rose's brothers. Two of Isser's daughters, names unknown, all lived in Ostrow Mazowiecka, Poland and presumably perished in

the Shoah..
