SHAYNA AND YOSEF
Siedlce, Poland
words from Munish's granddaughter:

"Munish Morgenstern, my grandfather, was born in Siedlce, Poland.  His parents were Hinda and Wolf Morgenstern.  He had a brother Yosef and two sisters, Ruchla and Shayna (Seina).  When the Nazis invaded their town, Seina and her husband ran away to Russia; Munish and Yosef soon followed.  Ruchla was thrown out the window by a Nazi soldier the night they came for their father.  We don't know the fate of Hinda or Wolf Morgenstern.  Yosef Morgenstern was taken by the Russians and died at a prison in the Komi Republic of Russia."
