Ida Berkovska
 

B. was born on 12 April 1903 in Minsk, White Russia.

Her father was a storekeeper.

She graduated in 1921 from a progressive school.

Through her brother, as a member of a dramatic circle, she performed in the circle, debuting there at the end of 1922 in the role of "Rivkele" in Sholem Asch's "Got fun nekome (God of Vengeance)".

In 1923 she performed with the White Russia Yiddish Theatre Studio, which she later become manager for in "Vimt", where B. still acts until today.
