B. was born circa 1872 in Kolomea, Galicia, where he had, together with Leibl Toybes and Dr. Rozenhek, staged with the first works of scores. He used to wander across the cities as a [score reader/jurist speaker=tsiunistisher redner], especially popular under the name of "Shtands Adjutant".

In his youth B. came to Lemberg and there became a folksinger most of the time of Elikum Tsunzer's songs, then he used to act in the one-act "Der chugener in shpitol", and after his marriage to a [Marsheleks] a daughter, B. became a badkhan, later touring with a Yiddish theatre.

After a certain time  B. left acting, associating himself with a bank in Lemberg, and in wartime he settled in Vienna, where he was a successful agent for life insurance.

B. was one of the founders of the Yiddish Actors Union in Vienna and its first president in 1927.

In May 1929 B. suddenly passed away in Vienna.
