According to Dina Feinman, and also the impression of Boaz Young, K. came from Hungary.

According to the actor Abraham Fishkind, C. also acted on the German stage where Jacob P. Adler knew him as a Yiddish actor. Boaz Young in his memories mentioned that he was in Adler's troupe.

Already on 20 August 1892 C. had acted in the role of "Yfhth" in "Ester fun in gdi" at the Union Theatre.

In 1896 C. acted for the first time, in the role "Seymon Muzlin" in Gordin's "Shloimke Sharlatan".

In the 1899-1900 season, C. acted at the People's Theatre.

In 1905 he was the first to act in the role of "Avraham Rozenberg" in Gordin's play "Der meturef (The Worthless)".

According to Dina Feinman, when she and Edelstein's wife happened upon him singing in a beer hall in Rockaway Beach, they recommended him to Edelstein, who took him into his troupe.

When the Yiddish Actor's Union had in 1899 obtained a theatre, he started to assemble held?? under C.'s chairmanship.

C. passed away in New York and left a son, and English actor.
