Ethel Dorf
(Epelblat)

 

D. was born in 1899 in New York, America.

Her parents were bakery owners.

In 1905 she moved with her family to Chicago, where she completed public school and learned in high school.

D. searched for a position in the chorus of the Empire Theatre, and she soon was given a role.

For two seasons she acted in variety, and afterwards married Abe Dorf, acted a season in Minneapolis, afterwards for four seasons with Gertner in Chicago, and further worked together on the same stage as her husband.

Specialty: Prima donna.
