1931-1967
 

Joseph Drabkin

Born on 15 May 1885 in Homel, White Russia.

In his early youth he came to America, and in 1907 became a manager of a Yiddish troupe in the state of Connecticut, bringing over such guest stars as Mogulesko, Kessler, Adler, Lipzin, Moshkovitsh, E. R. (Ester Rukhl) Kaminski, Thomashefsky, Betty Thomashefsky, Prager, Juvelier, Blank, Ch. Nathanson, Satz, Picon, Gabel, Jennie Goldstein, Schwartz, Goldenberg and the Germans.

Since 1919 he is the only manager of Yiddish productions in New Haven, in the state of Connecticut.
