Born on 4 November 1896 in Chortkow, Galicia. He learned in a religious elementary school (cheder), in a modern Hebrew school, folks-shul, gymnazie, then studied in a Vienna High School for agriculture and finished as an engineer. At the age of sixteen he participated in the founding of the youth organization "HaShomer," and in the First World War he served in the Austrian army.

In 1917 there was published his first story in the Krakow Hebrew weekly newspaper "HaMitzpah," and in Yiddish debuted in 1923. In 1926 he immigrated to Argentina, and a short time later collaborated with the local YIVO, where he was a member of the Buenos Aires kehillah (community) management. He was published in Yiddish and Hebrew. And in 1934 he issued a book of stories "In veg." He also wrote a book about his hometown Chortkow, and a novel about Oyrim life in Galicia. [See note below.]

In July 1919 when the Red Army Petliura from Vinnitsia, Izb. had definitely been a member of the Communist Party, he applied to be a theatre instructor with the Fourteenth Army, and also acted in Russian. In 1920 she responsibly did party work and acted at the same time in Russian theatre. In 1921 she married a responsible party activist whom however a year later was murdered by bandits. For reasons of purpose, she was excluded from the party by the Spanish Government.

In 1922 she was invited into the Yiddish troupe "Progress," a Kiev (directors--Jacob Libert and Rakitin). One-and-a-half years later she went over to the "Kunst-vinkl," where she actually received the possibility of developing her artistic powers. In 1929 she went over to the Ukrainian Chortkov state theatre, where she worked for a period of time. In 1930 she joined the troupe "Red fkl" (director--Rakitin), and after one-and-a-half years she went over to the Ukraine Movable State Theatre "Red Hammer."

B. was a member of the presidium of the all-Ukraine union "Kunst tuer," and during the ten-year anniversary of the union, she became honored with the title "fardinstfule rtistin of the Republic."

Her further fate is unknown.

Mark Leiptsiger, who wrote her biography, remarks:

"The Vinnitsia Dramatic Circle had ge(sh)mt across the entirety of the Ukraine as the only literary and serious circle with its intelligentsia friends.

B. today is (written in the thirties) one of the talented artists on the Yiddish stage. For the short time B. worked on the stage, she has managed to create a rich gallery of talent, which will remain long in our memories.

In Russia she created the first "Tsine" in "Green Fields" by Peretz Hirshbein the press had not been able to relieve it [?], also in the play "Velfishe neshomes" by Jack London, "The Czar of the Earth" by Sh Deiksel, "Shop" and "Hirsh Leckert" H. Leivick, "Dos dinstmeydl" in "Der koymenkerer" by Itsik Feffer, and Natan Fidel, et al.
