G. was born in 1888 in Brest-Litovsk, Polish Lithuania.

Until age twelve he learned at home, then in Pinsk yeshivas.

At age fourteen he was given to literature, then he worked for the publication "Tushyh".

In 1905 he immigrated to America, where he worked for the first time in shops, then becoming a book merchant.

In 1907 he debuted in "Tsukunft" and since then has participated in other editions. G. also has written several books.

In Zm"b "1925" G. published his play "A comedye in farbn", in "Unzer bukh", July-August 1926 -- "Shabbat kodesh in amerike", an operetta-poem in four acts, and in his book "Mesh'lakh (New York 1928) -- three children's plays: "Melerl fun himel", "Der merk fun jerushalayim" and "Vos tut men mit a feygele?"
