Jacob Goldberg

 

G. was born on 16 September 1881 in Iasi, Rumania.

His parents were merchants.

He received a genuine Yiddish education.

He learned for two years in yeshivas and in Marmarosh Sigiet.

In 1898 he came to America. Here he worked as an employee in a store and was a prompter in a dramatic club. He then became a professional prompter.
