Esther Hadassah
(Veynroyb-Halpern)
 

 

H. was born on 13 May 1897 in Zablotuvka, Galicia.

Her parents were bath owner and merchants.

She learned in a gymnasium and studied in a conservatory in Vienna.

She began to act in the local Yiddish dramatic circle and afterwards in the "Goldene pave", and later together with her husband, Leo Halpern, traveled to Argentina.

H. translated several plays and wrote in the Argentinean "Yiddish newspaper" known as "Adomino" about women's matters.
