During his service in office in South Africa there manifested in him a strong interest in Yiddish theatre, and he [gehaltn] a [referat] about "Jacob Gordin on the Yiddish Stage", the [referat] was under the name for reference published in "The South African", "Jewish Chronicle", of 11 March 1910.
