Kh. was an Odesser, an intellect, who became the first actor and producer in Shomer's troupe in Russia.

Having gone to the city, Kh. was especially successful acting in amateur roles.

In 1881-2, Kh. was the co-director and regisseur in the troupe of Yosef Veynshtok and Leon Berger in Poland.

In the beginning of the 20th century, Kh. came to America, and after staying for a short time returned to Russia.

Pasha Moshkovitsh, one of the prominent Yiddish actors of the nineteenth century, was Kh.'s sister.
