Sarah Lando
 

 

L. was born on 20 March 1909 in London, England.

Her father was an actor (Yekhiel Lando -- ed.) who later became a restaurant owner.

At the age of fourteen she debuted with Dina Feinman as a "youth" in the play "Liebe un leydnshaft", and since then from time to time has participated in Yiddish productions.

Since 1925 she entered into the Yiddish theatre as a professional, at first with with Blumental in London, then acting with Joseph Kessler in Warsaw.

From 1927-29 she acted in London's Yiddish Pavilion Theatre with Kessler, 1930 in South Africa, and then she returned to London where she acted in the Yiddish theatre.
