Henni Lehman


L. was born on 11 June 1906 in Alfensdorf, Germany, to Christian parents.

Her father was a railroad worker. Through her acquaintance with Yiddish students she began to act in children's roles in Berlin's Yiddish theatre. Later she crossed over to adult roles.

In 1928 she acted in Riga's Yiddish comedy and operetta theatre (Dir. -- Sh. Kutner), then in Paris' and Berlin's Yiddish troupes.
