L. was born in 1885 in Bucharest, Romania.

At the age of fifteen he traveled to Bukovina. Here she befriended Malvina Treitler (later -- Lobel), the daughter of the then guest-starring Yiddish theatre director, and through her became excited about the stage. Thanks to her beautiful voice and figure, she became a soubrette. Later L. traveled with the troupe to London, where she crossed over to serious roles. Here she married the actor Yozefson, acting from then under her new family name, and she then traveled with her husband to Argentina where they acted for several seasons. From there [kern] they went back to London and Paris, and after her husband's death, L. settled in London where she acted in dramatic roles under the direction of Morris Moshkovitsh, Sigmund Feinman, Charles Nathanson and Joseph Kessler.
