1931-1969
 

Zelig Liebgold

 

L. was born circa 1875 in Krakow, Galicia. His father was a merchant with eyer. A large house owner. He was a bookkeeper. He acted with "amateurs", among them Stefanya Shteyf (later his wife and then the wife of actor Norbert Glimer), with whom he then became a professional actor with Abraham Akselrad in Czernowitz.

L. was a character actor. For a certain time he also was a business manager in Tanentsap's troupe.

Around 1908 L., a kokainist, passed away in Snyatin (Galicia), where he had acted in a provincial troupe.
