1931-1969
 

Rabbi Elihu Margolius


Born in 1886 in Rumania, he was an assistant editor for the Bucharest "Hyuets". Afterwards he edited "Dos folksblat" in Iasi. Trn'd-Trn'd published the "Izraelitisher folkskalendar".

M. wrote many songs for the theatre repertoire of the actors Jacob Bleichman, Sholem Simovitsh, Yosef Groper, Leopold Kaner et al.

He also wrote a play "Ktsyeh", which was staged in a vaudeville house and was published in Yiddish and Hebrew a book "Moshe Benyamin" about [kuntshtik, nbuah a.d.g.]

M. later immigrated to New York, where he showed "Vunder" in reading characters, [trefn gedanken a.d.g.]
