Dr. A. Markov


Born in 186... in Fastov, Kiev Gubernia, Ukraine. He studied in Kiev’s university and finished as a medical doctor.
M. published several original works and several translations , among them “Der pkh fun finsterkeyt, composed by Count L. Tolstoy, translated by Doctor A. Markov, Warsaw [trs’d]” [1904, p. 142, 16°], which since then he has acted in Yiddish “amateur” and professional theatre. In 1911 in the publishing house B. Shimin he published a new delivery known as “Der kh fun finsternish”.

He also translated and published in Russian several stories from Avraham Reyzen.
