Jozef Mendelson
On 20 October 1916 M. had in the "Yidishe arbeyter velt" published an article about Golsworthy's "Der kamf" and soon thereafter was published there in his translation: "Der kamf, a drama in 3 acts by John Golsworthy, translated into English by Jozef Mendelson" [27 October 1916 -- 9 February 1917. The same play in a new translation by Wm. Valt in 1922 was published in Warsaw]. In March 1917 M. staged with the local "amateurs" Pshibishevski's drama "Dos glik".
